天河二号成世界最快计算机 获世界超算六连冠-搜狐军事频道  眼下,正值院校放寒假,可记者走进湘江之畔的国防科技大学计算机学院,见到的却是一派紧张忙碌的攻关情景。   去年底当选中国工程院院士的天河二号总设计师廖湘科教授颇感自豪地说:“习主席视察国防科大时,参观了天河超级计算机等科研成果展示并作出重要指示,给团队成员极大鼓舞和鞭策,目前大家正围绕天河二号系统升级和新一代超级计算机研制进行攻关。”   天河连着中南海。让这位著名计算机专家难以忘怀的是,2013年6月,天河二号研制成功,排名世界超算500强榜首,习主席作出重要批示,要求大家总结经验,再接再厉,坚持以我为主,勇于自主创新,不断强化前沿技术研究,为推动我国科技进步、建设创新型国家作出更大贡献。同年11月5日,习主席视察学校时,接见了学校科技创新团队代表,肯定他们为国家和军队作出的特殊贡献,勉励他们埋头苦干、再接再厉,在新的起点上不断取得更大成绩。   此情此景,廖湘科和团队成员印象深刻。两年多来,习主席的嘱托和鼓励,指引团队建设进入高起点、高质量的快速发展期,呈现出全面发展之势。谈起学院这两年来取得的成绩,该院政委刘学民如数家珍――   天河一号获得国家科技进步特等奖;天河二号获得世界超算“六连冠”殊荣,创造了国际超算新纪录;中央军委给学院计算机研究所记一等功;在过去两届院士增选中,学院有3人分别当选为中国科学院、中国工程院院士……   在发展迅猛、竞争激烈的世界超算领域,天河二号为何能长时间保持领先地位?副总设计师卢凯教授说:“关键在于我们依靠自主创新,掌握了属于自己的核心关键技术,在国家应用需求牵引下,实现了跨越式发展。”   创新驱动发展。天河团队在国际上率先提出并实现异构融合体系结构,在自主定制高速互联网络、新型并行编程模型框架等方面的一系列创新突破,使天河二号成为当今世界速度最快的超级计算机。“排名不是我们的唯一目的,更重要的是让其在推进科技创新和经济社会发展中发挥更大的作用。”卢凯说,在超级计算机的应用方面,天河同样达到了世界先进水平。   如今,以天河系列超级计算机为业务主机,先后建成了天津、长沙、广州3个国家超算中心,构建起材料科学与工程计算、生物计算与个性化医疗、天文地球科学与环境工程等6个应用服务平台,为国内外千余家用户提供高性能计算和云计算服务。   值得一提的是,天河系列超级计算机的应用已迈出国际合作步伐,德国慕尼黑工业大学与该院合作,利用天河二号开展真实地震震波传播模拟,再现了1992年美国加州兰德斯大地震震波传播过程,为研究地震波产生传播机理和地震预报提供了新的途径。   随着应用领域的不断扩展,天河系列超级计算机日益显示出作为国家重要基础设施的强大支撑作用,成为国家科技创新和经济社会发展的强劲引擎。   “两年前,习主席在视察学校时强调,要牢牢扭住国防科技自主创新这个战略基点,大力推进科技进步和创新,努力在前瞻性、战略性领域占有一席之地。”廖湘科院士说,团队始终牢记习主席嘱托,努力在高性能计算关键技术、核心元器件研发上抢占新的制高点。今年底,有望推出基于自主众核加速器的天河二号升级系统,运算速度将提升1倍,达到每秒10亿亿次,实现全部元器件国产化。   在一间实验室里,记者见到了天河二号主任设计师杨灿群教授。眼下,杨教授正带领课题组着眼下一代百亿亿次级超级计算系统开展新一轮攻关。他说:“保持我国在世界超算领域的核心竞争力,必须只争朝夕。”   把发展基点放在创新上。着眼超算技术未来发展,该院正围绕新型体系结构、高性能芯片、低功耗器件,以及量子计算、智能计算等研究方向提前谋划部署,加强前瞻性技术研究,力争续写“中国速度”的新传奇。相关的主题文章:
